I think that this is good news. Should the economy take a downturn in the next two years poor Brown will be hung out to dry.
I can't think of anything better than seeing Brown humiliated. He could then become a sad and grumpy Ted Heath sort of back bencher, a thorn in the side of Nulab for many years to come.
