The Daily Telegraph is at least trying to make this an issue (see my earlier post). However, it is only preaching to the converted. Where are the principles of the Guardian or the Times leader writers? The Guardian leader writer pontificates in a partisan way today on "the return of the nasty party" (i.e. the Tories dared to mention immigration).
The Times however runs, not a leader, but an interesting news story which I will blog in a moment or two.
